Key Job Responsibilities – Early Equity Strategy for Material Focused Technology Startups

• Design and execute early-stage corporate strategies for technology-driven startups in the clean tech and advanced materials sectors, grounded in rigorous financial and market analytics.
• Develop high-impact market entry and commercialization strategies for both novel technologies and drop-in solutions to identify and accelerate product-market fit.
• Align organizational design and talent planning with investment milestones, scaling strategies, and long-term value creation.
• Support business development and investor-facing activities, including partnership structuring, joint development agreements, strategic sampling, offtake contracts, and early-stage joint ventures.
• Provide strategic oversight of the full value chain, including feedstock sourcing, process design and engineering, manufacturing readiness, and product offtake to derisk first of a kind manufacturing facilities.
• Position companies for successful fundraising by showcasing traction, technology validation, and clear paths to monetization.
• Define and operationalize key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, de-risk investments, and enhance investor confidence.
• Lead competitive and sector benchmarking through technoeconomic and business model analysis to inform strategic decisions and valuations.
• Advise founders and executive teams on partner assessments, investor alignment, and deal structuring throughout capital raise and negotiation processes.

Required Skills & Experience

• Executive or senior role in raising or funding Series A+ capital, venture debt, or project finance; proven track record in deal execution and transaction support and/or participation in successful IPO or M&A exits.
• Excellent communicator of complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Supported commercialization of technical innovations; Strong technoeconomic and financial analysis skills.
• P&L ownership and strategic decision-making experience; Skilled in leading and managing cross-functional teams.
